Just weeks into the new year, more than 300 tech companies have already reported layoffs, resulting in about 103,000 layoffs, according to Layoffs.fyi.
But against the backdrop of the layoffs in Silicon Valley has emerged another, almost louder, trend: the AI race among tech giants to release the next advanced big-language model and the next human-like chatbot. It’s no surprise then that AI teams have been largely spared some of the Big Tech layoffs.
