The Spark for Albeesmart Interior Turnkey Solution
The inspiration for starting Albeesmart came after Alban’s exposure to international student movements. Volunteering as a national coordinator, Alban traveled extensively, meeting people from various cities and countries. He was struck by the attention given to aesthetics, even for simple conferences or events. From the lighting to the furniture and venue designs, everything was meticulously planned and executed.
This experience led Alban to realize that India, especially in its smaller cities, often overlooked these crucial aspects of design and presentation. Determined to fill this gap, Alban pursued an online masterclass in Interior Designing. This education provided him the foundation to start his venture with a focus on high-end, luxury interior design.
Identifying Market Gaps and Innovation
Initially, Albeesmart aimed to position itself as a luxury and premium interior design firm. However, Alban soon discovered a challenge while working on a 5BHK villa interior project. The client struggled to find time to view material samples, causing significant delays. Traditional methods of sourcing samples took weeks, but Alban was determined to find a more efficient solution.
After extensive research, he developed the “Interiors on Wheels” concept. This innovation involved designing a mobile van with custom shelves and drawers inside, allowing sample catalogs to be displayed and delivered directly to clients. This solution greatly reduced the time it took to showcase interior design elements, making the process faster and more convenient for clients.
Albeesmart is now planning to upgrade the Interiors on Wheels concept every three months, with plans to expand it in February 2025. This mobile workspace, often referred to as the Albeesmart Van, is frequently used by designers on the go. The van accommodates the creative needs of interior designers and architects, offering a fully equipped workstation with WiFi, television, a designer’s desk, tools, materials, and even a compact space that can accommodate 5-6 people for meetings or presentations. The flexibility of the designer van allows for on-site collaboration with clients or teams, making it an ideal solution for confirming designs and materials at any location across Bangalore.

Alban started this journey alone but gradually built a dedicated team with the same mindset and passion for transforming spaces.
Building a strong team in the early stages was challenging, as many struggled to see the vision of a small startup. However, Alban is committed to finding passionate and young people who share his ambition, and he continues to actively search for such individuals to grow the company.

The plan is to have four of these mobile units operating in major cities within the next five years, revolutionizing how interior design services are delivered to clients.

When asked about advice for aspiring entrepreneurs, Alban admits that he is still learning himself but emphasizes the importance of stepping outside one’s comfort zone. He believes that doing so will help anyone become the best version of themselves.
Looking back on his journey, Alban acknowledges that he might have explored investment opportunities earlier on. However, he remains focused on his current path and the unique opportunities Albeesmart offers.
