RUSTONLa. (KTVE/KARD) – Louisiana Tech Women’s Soccer wrapped up game number four
of their season-opening four-game homestand with the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns inside Robert Mack Caruthers Field on Sunday afternoon.
This was the fifth overall meeting between the state schools in the overall series tied at 2-2-0.
By the numbers, the Techsters had five total shots, one on goal and seven saves from Sydney Korchak making it her second shutout of the season and third of her career overall.
Korchak finished the game with seven saves, one of her career bests, and earned her second clean sheet in as many games. In her three starts this season, Korchak has a 2-0-1 record with 13 saves and has allowed just one goal with a .929 save percentage.
The Ragin Cajuns totaled 13 shots, seven on goal as both teams were held scoreless for the rest of the game.
Sydney Korchak’s run over the last two games had zero goals allowed and 11 saves in 180 minutes played.
