Vermont Busines Magazine VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region raised more than $16,500 at the recent Fore VNA Golf Day hosted at Mount Anthony Country Club in Bennington. The funds will support the agency’s home care and hospice programs. Last year, the home health and hospice agency served over 3,900 individual patients last year in Bennington and Rutland County and made 116,571 home visits.
The event was presented by Berkshire Bank and supported by many area businesses. Coggins Auto took first place in the scramble format tournament with Aidan Charbonneau, Patrick Coggins, Seth Harrington and Scott O’Connell on the team. The second place team named, Old Men Golfing, included Bill Becker, Michael Burnell, Bob Fellitte and Craig Jensensky. Third place was Team Johnson with Bryan Johnson, Russ Marsan, Eric Briere and Steve Gauvin.
“We had a beautiful day at Mount Anthony Country Club with 20 teams participating in the event,” said Bernadette C. Robin, director of philanthropy and marketing at VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region. “We are grateful that so many community-minded businesses stepped up to sponsor this event and donate wonderful prizes to our teams and raffles. All funds raised help us continue to grow and provide services to patients regardless of their financial circumstances.”
The tour was organized by a local planning committee that included Brooke Duffy, Lynne Farrell, Leslie Kelley, Maru Leon, Susan Plaisance, Susan Rice and Ray Smith.
