Ever wanted to rub elbows with stylish people at a fashion show? Now you can for free!
“Rose and Thorn: Where Fashion Meets” will transform Robson Square into a runway on Aug. 12 from 5-8 p.m., featuring nine local designers and three downtown retailers.
Downtown’s first free-to-the-public fashion show is organized by the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA) and also includes drag and dance performances, dancing, live music and a public modeling contest. Luxury prize.
Inspired by fashion weeks around the world, the show will have a trail of pink flowers on the runway while large digital screens screen the show, listing the DVBIA news release.
From streetwear to unisex clothing, featuring iconic Vancouver brands like Dipt Kicks, a variety of Vancouver Vogue hits the runway.
Vancouver Wrights will have the opportunity to showcase their modeling skills in the “Walk the Runway” competition with awards from Lumiere Spa, Lucid Motors, Mine & Yours, Good Co. Bars and Stock & Supply Vancouver.
