In a global Hospitality Commercial Intelligence industry shaped by rapid expansion, digital disruption, and rising owner expectations, success today demands more than occupancy and average rates. It requires integrated thinking across markets, assets, systems, and long-term value. At the centre of this shift stands Prakash K, Founder of dhi Hospitality, a commercial advisory and performance platform built to bring coherence back into hospitality decision-making.

With over 17 years of experience shaping commercial strategy for leading global brands across multiple markets, Prakash has spent his career designing commercial engines for flagship Hospitality Commercial Intelligence assets in highly competitive destinations. Today, through dhi Hospitality, he is quietly building infrastructure that helps hotels compete smarter, perform stronger, and grow sustainably.

A Career Built on Market-First Leadership

Prakash’s professional journey is rooted in Hospitality Commercial Intelligence leadership at scale. Over nearly two decades, he has worked across diverse markets, helping global brands structure and lead commercial performance for complex hospitality portfolios.

Rather than viewing hotels as standalone operations, Prakash approached them as commercial ecosystems—where pricing, positioning, distribution, technology, talent, and ownership priorities must align.

“My career has been built around designing and leading commercial engines for flagship assets in highly competitive destinations,” he shares. “I bring a market-first, ownership-oriented perspective to complex business challenges.”

Across roles, his focus remained consistent: building structures that consistently improve profitability, competitiveness, and long-term asset value. Whether leading revenue, sales, marketing, or performance strategy, Prakash learned that sustainable success depends on systems, not isolated tactics.

This philosophy eventually shaped his entrepreneurial vision.

The Recurring Spark Behind dhi Hospitality

Unlike startups born from sudden inspiration, dhi Hospitality emerged from a recurring observation Prakash experienced in boardrooms across markets.

He noticed that commercial performance was often discussed through fragmented lenses. Different reports told different stories. Metrics, systems, and recommendations rarely aligned with what owners actually cared about—asset value and profitability.

“I often found myself looking at multiple reports that described the same performance story in completely different ways,” Prakash recalls. “Systems, metrics, and recommendations were rarely aligned to ownership priorities.”

Over time, he realised that commercial strategy inside complex organisations had lost coherence. Technology, talent, performance management, and asset positioning were being handled in silos.

dhi Hospitality Commercial Intelligence was created to bring integrated commercial thinking back to the centre of Hospitality Commercial Intelligence decision-making, grounded in real markets, asset economics, and long-term value creation.

Identifying the Market Gap

Hospitality Commercial Intelligence today is rich in tools but poor in integration.

Hotels operate across revenue management systems, CRM platforms, distribution tools, reporting dashboards, asset management frameworks, and operational software. While each solves a piece of the puzzle, few connect the whole picture.

Prakash saw fragmentation everywhere—in systems, in data, and ultimately, in accountability.

“Commercial strategy, asset positioning, performance management, and technology are often addressed in isolation,” he explains. “The real gap was integrated commercial leadership that connects strategy, systems, talent, and execution into a single framework.”

Without that integration, hotels chase short-term gains instead of building sustained value. Owners receive inconsistent insights, teams struggle with execution, and performance becomes reactive rather than strategic.

dhi Hospitality was designed to close this gap by acting as both advisor and builder of commercial infrastructure.

What dhi Hospitality Does Differently

At its core, dhi Hospitality operates across commercial strategy, asset performance advisory, and investment advisory for Hospitality Commercial Intelligence assets.

While Prakash’s background is deeply rooted in revenue leadership, he deliberately built the firm with talent across core commercial and asset functions. This allows dhi Hospitality to go beyond frameworks and into execution.

The company works with hospitality owners, operators, and investors to design integrated commercial frameworks that define how assets:

  • Compete in their markets
  • Position themselves strategically
  • Structure pricing and distribution
  • Manage performance and accountability
  • Grow profitability and asset value

Rather than offering isolated consulting, dhi Hospitality connects commercial thinking across departments and ownership layers.

“This allows us to shape how assets compete, perform, and grow, with a clear focus on profitability, positioning, and long-term value,” Prakash explains.

The result is a model that treats hotels not just as operational businesses, but as long-term commercial investments.

Building Trust as an Independent Platform

Transitioning from global brands to building an independent firm came with its own realities.

“Past achievements inside large organisations matter far less than what you create on your own,” Prakash reflects.

Even with strong industry credentials, trust had to be earned from scratch. The Hospitality Commercial Intelligence advisory space is competitive, and clients expect results, not résumés.

Prakash and his team stayed disciplined:

  • Selective with partnerships
  • Focused on execution over expansion
  • Consistent with delivery
  • Relationship-driven rather than transaction-led

Over time, outcomes spoke louder than positioning. Repeat engagements, long-term relationships, and performance improvements became dhi Hospitality’s strongest validation.

“Outcomes, repeat engagements, and long-term relationships became the foundation of our credibility,” he says.

The Turning Point: From Advisory to Platform

A defining phase for dhi Hospitality came with its shift from pure advisory into building and executing commercial and technology-led initiatives in parallel.

Over the past year, the firm has been deeply engaged in complex projects that combine strategy, systems, and asset performance into executable infrastructure.

Rather than stopping at frameworks, dhi Hospitality began helping assets operationalise commercial intelligence.

“Many of these projects are now approaching launch stages,” Prakash notes. “They mark a shift from framework-building into scaled execution.”

This transition sharpened dhi Hospitality’s identity—from consultancy to platform builder—capable of shaping not only ideas but also operational systems that drive performance.

It also set the stage for the company’s next evolution.

Introducing ICS: Integrated Commercial Solutions

Looking forward, dhi Hospitality is developing ICS – Integrated Commercial Solutions, a unified commercial software platform for the Hospitality Commercial Intelligence industry.

ICS is being built to solve one of hospitality’s biggest pain points: fragmented commercial infrastructure.

Hotels today operate across dozens of disconnected tools and workflows. ICS aims to bring them into a single operating layer that integrates:

  • Commercial strategy
  • Systems and data
  • Performance management
  • Execution workflows
  • Asset intelligence

“ICS is designed to integrate commercial strategy, systems, and execution into one operating layer,” Prakash explains.

The platform’s goal is to make high-quality commercial infrastructure affordable and accessible for hotels of any scale—from boutique assets to multi-property portfolios.

Rather than replacing teams, ICS supports them with coherence, intelligence, and accountability.

The ambition is simple but powerful: to quietly reshape how Hospitality Commercial Intelligence organisations build sustainable performance.

Vision for the Next Five Years

Over the next five years, Prakash envisions dhi Hospitality as a global commercial advisory and performance platform.

The roadmap includes:

  • Expanding advisory and asset performance services
  • Scaling ICS as a core Hospitality Commercial Intelligence infrastructure product
  • Supporting owners and operators with integrated commercial intelligence
  • Building a global footprint across markets

Rather than growing loudly, Prakash’s focus is on growing deliberately—building systems that last longer than trends.

“The ambition is to simplify how commercial performance is managed and scaled across the industry,” he says.

By combining advisory depth with technology execution, dhi Hospitality Commercial Intelligence aims to become a long-term partner in hospitality value creation.

Advice to Aspiring Entrepreneurs

For founders entering entrepreneurship, Prakash offers grounded advice shaped by experience:

“Be patient with progress and disciplined with focus. The early years teach you grit, restraint, and how to navigate uncertainty without losing direction.”

He stresses the importance of saying no—even when opportunities look attractive but don’t fit long-term architecture.

“Growth is rarely dramatic. It is built through consistency, clarity, and the ability to stay steady through uncomfortable periods,” he adds.

His philosophy reflects the same principles he builds into Hospitality Commercial Intelligence assets—coherence, discipline, and long-term thinking.
