Nokia has announced its participation in the India Mobile Congress, Asia’s most prominent digital technology forum, where it shall showcase a range of innovative solutions leveraging the 5G network technology; in doing so, it has partnered with various organizations, including the Indian Healthcare Start-up Perkant Tech Private Limited. The startup shall showcase their in-house next generation Medical device range highlighting its futuristic capabilities with 5G technology in the forum.
India Mobile congress 2022 shall take place in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from the 1st to the 4th of October, attracting exhibitors, academia, and delegates worldwide. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the forum and mark the launch of 5G services in India.
Perkant Tech is one of the three shortlisted health-tech start-ups that get to present their novel solution from Nokia’s booth. They emphasize the 5G use case as they incorporate it in their medical device as a module to enable teleconsultation from any corner of the nation, whether rural or urban.
The healthcare start-up Perkant Tech Private Limited was founded by two young engineers, Saniya Jeswani and Lokant Jain, mere two years back. The firm is a manufacturing partner at the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone – India’s first medical technology park. Their innovation is also listed in AIM’s top 50 healthcare innovations, Niti Aayog.
Their patented solution, Abhay Parimiti, is a multi-disease prognosis system that enables complete health screening in just 30 seconds. The ease of the device includes the health test via one-finger placement only. The touch-based system generates over five primary body vitals, including cuffless Blood pressure, Pulse Rate, Respiratory rate, Heart-rate variability, Fever detection, and an AI-based health score result.
The founders now showcasing their innovation in the conference added, “We plan to use the platform of Nokia’s pavilion at IMC 2022 to showcase the technology advancement in our healthcare system, how through 5G we can enable healthcare accessibility even in the remotest regions of the nation.” They plan to also showcase their “Healthcare Anytime, Anywhere Model” made just for the masses of India.
The start-up massively focuses on pushing this technology across the both rural and urban landscape even into the low resource settings, introducing ubiquitous healthcare accessibility. The device is IoT, AI and ML enabled, making it one of the most promising health-tech devices. The system is cost-effective and screens multiple subjects taking just 30 seconds each. It has a versatile deployment, from the settings of a hospital to a corporate office – their system does it all.
The India Mobile Congress forum is held under the Department of Telecommunications, the Ministry of Communications, and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). The key partners include Qualcomm as the powered by partner, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, and VI India as its founding partners, and Nokia as the platinum theme partner, amongst others. The conclave will have a set of events, talks, and a showcasing exhibition spread across four days.
