That’s because I turned to a retailer I couldn’t find in the knitting department: Target.

Whether you’re feeling inspired by a popular winter sweater style or just in the mood for a new v-neck sweater, Target’s wide selection of sweaters can meet a variety of needs. I started stocking up by buying this comfy cardigan that I wear about three times a week. I love how easily I can layer it with a tank top or fitted tee. I have it in black and am currently looking to get another one of the seven colors available, especially since it’s on sale for $17.
I’m not the only one who gave this cardigan five stars. “It’s great to dress it up or dress it down,” says one shopper who owns the sweater in two colors, and offers style tips for wearing it at home or out to dinner. Another reviewer, who called out the hip length that compliments the style, also said the cardigan is “warm without being too heavy” and I couldn’t agree more.

Another Target style I found recently is this turtleneck sweater. I wanted something different from the basic crew neck, and as soon as I saw this polo style I immediately added it to my cart. Other than the draped V-neckline, I love the ribbed-knit finish that goes all the way down to the straps. I’ve worn this out to dinner with friends, at the office, and without passing out from overheating, which is a big problem for my sweaters.
One shopper called this sweater “comfortable and classy all in one,” while another said it’s “so soft” and bought it in two colors. Even better, it’s on sale right now, this sweater is only $17.

And I’m not usually one for colorful sweaters, but I think I need this fuzzy sweater. It is giving. Emily in Paris, And I love multicolored stripes for winter (also available in black and white). Plus, I can’t stop thinking about the reviewer who described the sweater as “like your favorite comfort blanket.” [was] Wear it suddenly.” For another colorful statement style, this $18 slogan sweater will do the trick.
